Manchester United: The Theatre of Dreams

Manchester United has been known to be one of the largest, and strongest, football teams in the world for quite a while know. With the team’s legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, and to players such as Wayne Rooney strengthening every line, it is only natural that Manchester United is now among the best teams in the world.

Manchester United was first founded as Newton Heath LYR F.C. in 1878. The team then joined The Football League in 1892, and continued to show great performances since it joins the First Division in 1938.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been managing the team since 1986. He is noted to be the most successful manager so far, winning over 26 major honors and trophies over the course of his career with Manchester United.

The team’s home, the Old Trafford, is also part of Manchester United’s long and interesting history. It is the home of this amazing team since it was opened in 1910. The name “Theatre of Dreams” was given to the stadium not long after it was officially used by Manchester United. Old Trafford is also noted as one of the stadiums with the best selling records in both British Premier League and the world.

There are a lot of interesting facts about Manchester United and the team’s history. They have won 18 Premier League titles so far, plus 11 FA Cups trophies, 3 UEFA Champions League trophies, and won the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup as well. The team will still be interesting to follow for many years to come.
